Biography
AC/DC is an Australian hard rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. The band is considered one of the pioneers of heavy metal and hard rock music. They are known for their high-energy live performances and their classic hits such as “Highway to Hell”, “Back in Black”, and “Thunderstruck”.
Musical Career
AC/DC has released 16 studio albums, three live albums, and numerous compilations since their debut album, High Voltage, in 1975. The band has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time. They have earned numerous awards, including the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance for their song “Back in Black”.
Influences and Musical Style
AC/DC’s music is heavily influenced by blues-rock and hard rock, and is known for its loud, driving sound. The band’s signature sound is based on the guitar interplay between Angus Young’s lead guitar and Malcolm Young’s rhythm guitar.
