Biography
Burna Boy is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper who hails from Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Nigeria. He was born on the 2nd of July 1991 to a Nigerian mother and a Jamaican father. He is considered one of the most influential artists in the Afrobeats genre, and is known for his unique blend of Afrobeats, hip hop, reggae, dancehall, and R&B.
Musical Career
Burna Boy began his music career in 2010 with his debut mixtape, “Burn Identity”. He released his debut album, “L.I.F.E”, in 2011, and his second album, “On a Spaceship”, in 2015. Since then, he has released two more albums, “Outside” in 2018 and “African Giant” in 2019. He has also released several EPs and mixtapes, including “Redemption” in 2016, “Outside” in 2018, and “African Giant” in 2019.
His music has been featured in various films and television shows, including “Black Panther”, “The Lion King”, and “The Mandalorian”. He has also collaborated with several international artists, including Jorja Smith, Sauti Sol, and Wizkid.
