Biography
Calum Scott is an English singer and songwriter from Kingston upon Hull. He rose to fame after appearing on Britain’s Got Talent in 2015, where he received a standing ovation for his rendition of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own”. Scott released his debut single, a cover of the song, in 2016 and it went on to become a top-ten hit in multiple countries.
Musical Career
Scott began his music career by performing in local pubs and clubs in and around Hull. He auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent in 2015, where he received a standing ovation for his performance of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own”. His cover of the song was released as his debut single in 2016 and went on to become a top-ten hit in multiple countries. The song was followed by his debut studio album, Only Human, in 2018. Scott has since released several singles, including “You Are the Reason”, which was certified platinum in multiple countries. He has also collaborated with several artists, including Leona Lewis and Avicii.
