Debout Sur Le Zinc is a French folk group formed in 1997 by Olivier Demeaux and Thomas Poli. The group has become one of the most popular folk groups in France, and has released six albums to date.
Biography
Debout Sur Le Zinc was formed in 1997 by Olivier Demeaux and Thomas Poli. Both members come from the town of Saint-Etienne in the Loire region of France. They are joined by a rotating cast of musicians, including trumpeter Yann Tiersen and accordionist Xavier Boussiron.
Musical Career
Debout Sur Le Zinc has released six albums since their formation in 1997. Their debut album, “Debout Sur Le Zinc”, was released in 1998 and was followed by “Le Temps des Cerises” in 2000, “Le Grand Jeu” in 2002, “L’Oiseau” in 2006, “À l’Ouest” in 2009, and “L’Oiseau de Nuit” in 2011.
The group has toured extensively throughout France and Europe, and has performed at numerous festivals. They have also collaborated with a number of other artists, including the French singer-songwriter Cali.
