Biography
Elton John is a British singer-songwriter, composer, pianist and record producer. He has sold more than 300 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Elton John was born on 25 March 1947 in Pinner, Middlesex, England. He began playing the piano at the age of three and was soon sent to the Royal Academy of Music in London for formal lessons.
Musical Career
Elton John began his professional music career in the mid-1960s, playing with a band called Bluesology. He began writing his own songs and soon signed with DJM Records. In the 1970s, Elton John released a string of hit singles, including "Your Song," "Rocket Man," "Bennie and the Jets," and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." He has since released over 30 studio albums, including the multi-platinum albums Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (1973) and The Lion King (1994).

Elton John has been influenced by a variety of musical styles, including rock, pop, classical, and gospel. His music is often characterized by its melodic hooks, emotive lyrics, and grandiose arrangements.
