Emily Vaughn was born in Los Angeles, California in 1997. She began writing her own songs at the age of 11 and by the age of 15, she was already performing her music in local venues. She attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and graduated in 2015. After high school, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue her music career.
Musical Career
In 2017, Emily released her debut EP, “Echoes”, which was met with critical acclaim. Her single “Lose My Mind” was featured on the TV show “Pretty Little Liars” and reached over 1 million streams on Spotify. In 2018, she released her debut full-length album, “The Real Thing”, which featured the single “I Don’t Wanna Be”. The album was a commercial success, reaching the top 10 of the Billboard Heatseekers chart.

Emily’s music is heavily influenced by soul, R&B, and pop. Her main influences include Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, and Adele. She is also inspired by the classic soul singers of the 1960s and 70s, such as Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder.
