Biography
Hozier is an Irish singer-songwriter, musician and record producer from Bray, County Wicklow. Born Andrew John Hozier-Byrne in 1990, he first gained recognition for his single "Take Me to Church", released in 2013. The single was an instant success, reaching the top of the charts in Ireland, the US, the UK, and several other countries.
Musical Career
Hozier began his musical career as a member of the Irish rock band Anuas. He released his debut EP, Take Me to Church, in 2013, and his self-titled debut album in 2014. The album was a commercial success, reaching number one in Ireland and number two in the UK and the US. Hozier has since released two more EPs, Wasteland, Baby! and Nina Cried Power, and a second studio album, Wasteland, Baby! (2019).
