Biography
Jason Derulo is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. He was born in Miramar, Florida, on September 21, 1989. Derulo began writing songs at the age of 8 and started performing in local talent shows at the age of 10. He attended performing arts schools in Florida and made some early attempts at music production.
Musical Career
Derulo's career began when he signed with Beluga Heights Records and Warner Bros. Records in 2009. His debut single, "Whatcha Say", was released in May of that year and became a worldwide hit, reaching number one in the United States and New Zealand. He has since released five studio albums, including Future History (2011), Tattoos (2013), Everything Is 4 (2015), 777 (2015) and 2Sides (2018). He has also released a number of successful singles, including "Talk Dirty", "Wiggle", "Trumpets", "In My Head" and "Want to Want Me".
Influences and Musical Style
Derulo's music is a mix of pop, R&B, hip-hop, and dance. He has cited Michael Jackson, Usher, and Justin Timberlake as his main influences, and his music often features samples from other artists. He is also known for his intricate choreography and vibrant live performances.
