West began his music career in 1996, producing beats for local Chicago artists. In 2001, he released his debut album, The College Dropout. West followed up with the albums Late Registration (2005), Graduation (2007), 808s & Heartbreak (2008) and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010). He has also released several collaborative albums with Jay-Z, including Watch the Throne (2011).
