Lana Del Rey is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer from New York City. She was born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant in 1985 and began her musical career in 2005 under the stage name Lizzy Grant. In 2010, after signing with 5 Points Records, she released her debut album, Lana Del Ray. Since then, she has released four studio albums, two compilation albums, two extended plays (EPs), and twenty-five singles.

Lana Del Rey released her debut album, Lana Del Ray, in 2010, which was met with critical acclaim. The album spawned the hit single, “Video Games”, which was certified gold in the US and the UK. Her follow-up album, Born to Die, was released in 2012 and was her most commercially successful album to date, reaching number one in eleven countries. She has since released Ultraviolence (2014), Honeymoon (2015), and Lust for Life (2017).
