Macklemore, born Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter from Seattle, Washington. He first gained recognition in the music scene in 2000 when he formed the rap duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with producer Ryan Lewis. Since then, he has released three solo studio albums, The Heist (2012), Gemini (2017) and This Unruly Mess I've Made (2016).

His third solo studio album, This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, was released in 2016 and featured the singles “Downtown” and “Drug Dealer”.
