Biography:
Morat is a Colombian pop-rock band formed in Medellin in 2012. The band consists of vocalist Juan Pablo Isaza, guitarist Juan Pablo Villamil, bassist Simón Vargas and drummer Martín Vargas. The band’s name is derived from the Spanish word for “fly”, a reference to their desire to spread their music around the world.
Musical Career:
Morat released their debut album, “Cicatrices”, in 2014. The album was a success in Colombia and was certified gold. They released their second album, “Sobre El Amor y Sus Efectos Secundarios”, in 2016, and it was certified platinum. The band has since released two more albums, “Balas Perdidas” in 2018 and “Amor Con Hielo” in 2020. They have also released several singles, including “Cuando Nadie Ve”, “Yo Contigo, Tú Conmigo”, “Besos En Guerra” and “Cómo Te Atreves”.

Morat draws influence from a variety of genres, including pop, rock, folk and Latin music. Their music is often characterized by catchy melodies, heartfelt lyrics and a blend of acoustic and electric instrumentation.
