Shawn Mendes is a Canadian singer, songwriter and model born on August 8, 1998 in Toronto, Ontario. He began his musical career by posting covers of popular songs on the video-sharing app Vine. His debut single, "Life of the Party", was released in 2014 and was certified triple platinum in the U.S. He has since released three studio albums, Handwritten (2015), Illuminate (2016), and Shawn Mendes (2018).
