Travis Scott (born Jacques Webster Jr. on April 30, 1991) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He grew up in Missouri City, Texas, a suburb of Houston, and attended Elkins High School. Scott's musical style has been described as a fusion of traditional hip hop, lo-fi and ambient. His music has been noted for its psychedelic production and has been influenced by the works of Kid Cudi, T.I., and Outkast.
Musical Career
In 2012, Scott signed his first major-label deal with Epic Records. His debut studio album, Rodeo, was released in 2015, and was led by the single "Antidote". The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Scott's second album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, was released in 2016 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. His third album, Astroworld, was released in 2018 and was certified triple platinum by the RIAA.
